So it seems like all the conversations between Kerrigan and Zagara so far are all some variation on this:
Kerrigan: So, Zagara, what did you learn from me in that last battle?
Zagara: Umm, cunning?
Kerrigan: No.
Zagara: Vision?
Kerrigan: Nope. Go see Abathur again.
Zagara: But evolving huuuurts.
Kerrigan: GO SEE ABATHUR.

Abathur, a Zerg NPC from the Heart of the Swarm, is one of my new favorite characters ever!
The Heart of the Swarm tickles my biologist brain as I come to understand the Zerg and how they work much better.
Abathur is the single entity of the swarm that guides evolution. Upon visiting a new planet, Abathur analyzes the native fauna to see if there are any useful adaptations. Should he find one, he incorporates it into the most advantageous units’ DNA sequence.
Hell yeah, biology!

This is a pleasant little myth but it’s total bull.
It’s rooted in Greek mythology, that humans were once two conjoined bodies and Zeus, fearing their power, split them in half to reduce their might, but separated them from their partners in the process.
The ideas of soul mates and other halves, while romantic, are totally false, however. You can be fiercely loyal to someone, and you can be super compatible, but does that mean there’s some extra-terrestrial prowess dictates who you’re meant to be with?
You are a whole person. You’re not half of a being. You can have your own ambitions and life, with or without another. Your life and success is not dependent on another person’s: it is dependent on yourself. And, to love another, you first need to learn how to love yourself, and accept yourself as a whole individual.
Maybe that individual is still learning things in life, maybe that individual has made mistakes, and maybe that individual is lonely—that’s all natural, but doesn’t devalue your worth. Value yourself, because let’s be honest here: who the hell would want to date half a man or half a woman?
